The town of Morija is one of the most important historic and cultural sites in Lesotho. Originally located at the museum in Morija, The Hub began as a computer learning centre for area residents. Glasswaters was involved from the start and by 2022 our project work evolved from an agency agreement with The Hub to a collaborative partnership to better deliver services. Programs included a multitude of computer-based workshops, educational workshops and presentations for Morija youth plus outreach into nearby rural villages.
The Hub moved in 2021 to its current rented venue on the outskirts of Morija to provide much need gardening space, a new library, and larger classrooms to accommodate the ever-expanding programs. Current activities focus on basic school and job readiness skills, life skills, arts and multi-media training, all presented and curated with inspiring role models and sensitivity for participant needs.
